Its a Buzz

VIB`s Species: Tetragonula carbonaria

Our VIB`s have arrived on site and with the weather warming up a little their starting to venture out of their box hive.
We are hoping these little beauties will help pollinate our food crops and they might even supply us with a taste of their unique honey.

Where to Go

We had a fun and creative morning in the garden this morning making our directional pole. Steered by Amanda, the pole is now a functional and beautiful part of the garden. Thanks all :)

Plant Up Day

Just over 50 community members came along to be part of the first planting day for The Hive Community Garden. On a glorious sun filled Sunday, community members got down and dirty and together planted a beautiful array of plants. Citrus, salad greens, strawberries, blueberries, tamarillos, capsicums, tomatoes, peas, edible flowers and heaps of herbs to name a few.
Wow...the garden is full of goodness!
Soup was served and garlic bread cooked in our beautiful cob and the sharing of food has begun.
Thankyou to everyone that came along, generously donated plants and took the time to grow community. May the garden grow and grow and grow....................
Thanks everyone :)
